And a few months after his death, "Debbie Fox" brought me a beautiful watercolor painting of him, which she had drawn from his picture at the memorial service. And I considered this gift one of the most precious things to my heart. And when I asked myself: "How do we choose illustrative pictures for a book aimed at children that talks about pornography?" I knew I wanted the illustrations to be watercolor; and that they should be classic and gentle to soften the harshness of the subject; and that they should be realistic and not caricatured – I did not want to risk downplaying this serious problem. And it was natural to choose Debbie to design the realistic and beautiful illustrations we need, and I am grateful for her accepting the challenge. She dreamed of working with us, and she showed endless patience and flexibility. We believe that her drawings made the book more comfortable and attractive to parents and children.
