The Shadows: Author: Alex North Language: Arabic Publication Date: 2024 Book Format: Paperback Publisher: Juice Books for Translation, Publishing, and Distribution Number of Pages: 368 Description: A teenager like Charlie Crabtree with his dark, heinous imagination and evil smile, and being unaffiliated with any group of friends, some of you might suspect that he could be capable of doing something terrible. And indeed, Crabtree did that twenty-five years ago, committing a shocking murder to such an extent that it attracted people to that strange kind of shameful behavior only found in the darkest corners of the internet. He inspired more than one copycat murder of the one he committed. Paul Adams remembers the case well: Crabtree and his victim were one of Paul's friends. Paul slowly gathered his life back together, but now his elderly mother—who suffers from dementia—begins to decline. And although every part of him resists, it is time to go back home. It won't be long before things start to go wrong. Paul knows that Detective Amanda Pike is investigating a copycat murder that shook the streets of the nearby town of Viderbank. His mother is worried and insists that there is something in the house. Someone is chasing her. And those previous events only reminded him of the most disturbed matters concerning that horrific day twenty-five years ago. It wasn't just about the murder but also the fact that Charlie Crabtree was never seen again.
