Product description

Little Men, published in 1871, was considered the sequel to Louisa May Alcott's masterpiece, Little Women, and was followed by a third and final installment, Jo's Boys. In this final part, Jo March, now Mrs. Bayer after her marriage, runs a boys' school. The author drew inspiration from her father's passion for educational reform and the school he founded. Like its predecessor, this novel achieved great success and was adapted into numerous films and a Japanese anime series produced by Nippon Animation as part of their World Masterpiece Theatre series. This series focused on Nan, one of the school's two pupils, and became known in the Arab world as "Nawar." Jo not only established a school for boys but also ensured it was a true home, especially for the orphans. With the help of her husband, Professor Bayer, she soothed their broken hearts and cared for their ailing bodies with food and medicine. She believed that love is "a flower that grows in any soil, and neither the frost of autumn nor the snow of winter can spoil its sweet, miraculous fruits. Rather, it blossoms beautifully and fragrantly all year round, blessing both the giver and the receiver." When the world became a small village, the distances between people grew, and the earth became barren, and the "flower of love" withered. This novel is an invitation from "Jo and Her Little Men" to the reader to fill their heart with kindness and appreciation for the beauty in nature and humanity, so that they may perceive the essence unseen by the eye.
