Coming from the lush highlands of Kenazi in Rwanda, under its warm sun, a coffee that combines tradition and innovation in an impressive way.
Rwanda “Simba” is the result of the hard work of eight young and experienced farmers, aged from 40 to 93 years, each putting their inherited expertise and love for coffee into every cherry they harvest. Led by producer Togano Morimi François, they care for more than 9,000 Arabica Bourbon trees planted in sandy clay soil in the Huy area.
After carefully harvesting, the cherries go to the Kenazi washing station affiliated with Simbi Coffee Investment. Founded by Abdul Roodahonga in honor of his grandmother and her rich coffee traditions, the station blends modern techniques with authentic family spirit to produce “Simba” coffee in this luxurious form.
Rwanda “Simba” is naturally sun-dried on raised beds, with the steady mountain breezes. The processing is 100% natural, which intensifies the fruit flavors in a clear and prominent way. It has a very high sensory score of 89.69, a strong, complex, and very elegant experience at the same time.
From the first sip, you feel a clean and clear body. Then a rich and balanced apricot flavor emerges, intertwined with distinctive floral notes. After the cup cools a bit, creamy milk chocolate hints start to appear, giving it a pleasant and balanced finish.
