Product description

Scientific name: Prunus avium - Sweet cherry tree, deciduous tree, strong growth, long-lived, height ranges between 5-10 meters. The sweet cherry is a summer fruit characterized by its small red fruits with shiny skin and wonderful taste. Cherry trees are distinguished by their abundant fruit production, making them economically viable and one of the most cultivated trees by farmers, and we plant them at home due to their plentiful yield. Cherry trees grow well in sunny locations as they need at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily to support their growth and fruit production, as well as to protect them from diseases. The cherry tree needs fertile, well-drained soil to supply it with all necessary nutrients and to prevent root swelling, so proper watering and good fertilization are essential. It is important to plant the cherry tree away from buildings, water lines, or any infrastructure, with small cherry varieties approximately 2.4-4.4 meters away, and larger varieties about 3.6-5.5 meters away, depending on the type and height of the trees. Proper spacing between cherry trees should be maintained based on their type and size. Cherry cultivation succeeds particularly at the beginning of spring and late autumn, and it also succeeds in moderate and humid areas. Therefore, the sweet cherry variety is one of the types that tolerate drought, unlike other varieties. Cherry fruits are rich in vitamins and minerals, and they are a natural source that provides the body with abundant potassium and energy.
