The book presents in a lengthy introduction the history of the school since it shone in the early twentieth century on the founders such as Sheikh Ahmed Nida (the grandfather of the artist Sharifa Fadel). The book also discusses the relationship of these workers with music, for example Sheikh Rifaat was receptive to international symphonies and owned works by Beethoven and Mozart, Sheikh Al-Banna studied music and its maqamat professionally under Sheikh Darwish Al-Hariri, teacher of Abdul-Latwi, and he calls him the owner of the impossible melody.
