Product description
"Sunset Park," which is a real neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York, carries a central reference to what Paul Auster wants to convey in this novel. This neighborhood contains two completely contrasting worlds, at least apparently, Greenwood Cemetery, which the author depicts as a parallel city, spanning vast areas of land, including thousands of people who lived or passed through the city, some of whom are stars of politics, literature, science, and art. At the same time, it includes that dilapidated house that will host a group of young people mostly rejecting what has become of the United States, and seeking their individual and collective identity amid the transformations the country is experiencing, especially the suffocating economic crisis that cast its heavy shadows starting from the year in which the events of the novel begin, 2008.
