from the window

In my effort while I am sitting on the sofa in this room to open the window so I see and I do not see. And I stay in it until I am invited to food, or I come to move to my office, or I go out to my work. And the most pleasant thing for me in it is sitting on days of vacation or unemployment, or hours of laziness and apathy, and its virtue is that it is in a remote corner of the house even if it is on the road, and I am in it like a monk in his cell, except that I do not worship except by looking at God's creation through the gap between the wooden shutters of the window.
