Product description

Since more than twenty years ago, specifically in 1989, and at that time I was living intermittently in Paris, my friend Claude Addas gifted me her book about the biography of Muhyiddin ibn Arabi and his thought. I took the book strongly and in my mind crowded revealing ideas about the great scientific value of this book in the specialized mystical field, and even human. The author is a descendant of a family passionate about the Sheikh al-Akbar Muhyiddin ibn Arabi and knowledgeable about him, and she personally grew up influenced by this love and open to this knowledge. When her diligence reached the stage of postgraduate studies, she chose the Sheikh al-Akbar as a topic for her doctoral thesis, and this was the book through which she contributed to the advancement of the greater studies. How could it be otherwise, when it is the product of a researcher distinguished by scientific rigor intertwined with accuracy, patience, perseverance, and endurance, who read most of the extensive works of Sheikh al-Akbar available to her, whether printed or handwritten, and then reconstructed his biography within its human and intellectual framework, through his own texts. This book narrates the biography of a person who rose with his existence from the realm of time and place, along with their conditions, to the broad human horizon. He became a holder of a human identity: one in itself, multiplicative in its faces and orientations, and in the spiritual insights extending from it to everything and everyone. Consequently, he became capable of comprehensive communication with his human and natural environment... The biography of a person who is one of a group of active and kind-willed individuals, who gather and do not divide, build rather than destroy, and construct bridges between individuals and groups from the bricks of knowledge, so that they cross over the valleys of ignorance, fear, fanaticism, and darkness towards harmony, compassion, social security, and global peace... The biography of a person who realized that human life, in success and failure, in elevation and lowering, is governed by fixed divine laws. And that humans can make their lives a continuous upward journey with no limits and no setbacks, if they observe the divine law in receiving divine blessings and gifts... Indeed, Ibn Arabi inscribed his name with letters of light in the sky of Mount Qaf that surrounds the world of humanity, through the good reception of every divine gift; with preservation and development.
