Secularism from within

Islamic movement has caused a great intellectual shock called secularism, I compare it to what Gorbachev's Perestroika caused in global communism! We now see - among those affiliated with the Islamic current - some who say in their speech or writing: I do not call for the application of Sharia, nor do I intend to apply it if I rule, and it is not part of my political program at all . . I am very keen to hide my creed, and conceal the true nature of my thought, and if I could hide my body too, I would do so! I only care about my homeland within the geographical borders determined by the United Nations, but the pains and hopes of the Islamic nation do not concern me at all, and they are not my priorities. So I am a patriot in the cloak of my Islam . . I do not call for banning alcohol nor for wearing the hijab, let alone trying to impose that! Rather, whoever wants to do something, let him do it, for I am a liberal in my old age, raised as an Islamist in my childhood!
