In a letter to Helvetius, Voltaire wrote this wonderful sentence: "I do not agree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it." Any interference in freedom of thought and expression – regardless of the method or name of this censorship – is a scandal in the twentieth century, and it constitutes a heavy burden on our literature, which is experiencing noticeable activity.
