Small death

Since God created me in Marsa, until He took me in Damascus, I am in an unending journey. I saw countries, met people, accompanied saints, and lived under the rule of the Muwahhidun, Ayyubids, Abbasids, and Seljuks on a path that God decreed for me before my creation. Whoever is born in a besieged city is born with a fierce desire to go beyond the walls. The believer is in constant travel. And all existence is travel within travel. Whoever leaves travel settles, and whoever settles returns to nothingness.
