Product description
The universe and corruption, a book that includes between its pages the ideas of ancient Greek philosophers from the earliest ages until the era of Aristotle; where Aristotle discusses the previous opinions that debated the universe and its components, bodies, their nature, and corruption; he dissects these opinions, as well as presents the foundations on which his theory was based, then formulates this theory in a beautiful philosophical framework. The book also contains three letters addressed to his major opponents, namely: Miletus, Xenophon, and Gorgias, where he critiques their theories related to the universe, the existential theory, and he discussed the idea of the oneness of God. This book had a great impact on Muslim philosophers in the medieval era, as it was translated for the first time by Ibn Rushd, who was nicknamed by Dante as the "Great Commentator of Aristotle."
