Product description
This novel raises the issue of the seal of ranks that religions and philosophies have been preoccupied with since the dawn of history until today, with four models of seals, in order: Tirmidhi (the wise), Al-Farabi (the philosopher), Al-Mutanabbi (the poet), and Al-Ma'arri (the writer). These seals meet in an imaginary council in the virtuous city in a time extending from Plato to our era to discuss this major issue, each of them summoning witnesses from humans and jinn to support their position (Taha Hussein, Bashir Al-Khouri, Ahmed Shuqei, Nizar Qabbani, Shakespeare, and Mister Bin...). He claims his right to lead this ideal city until the Seal of Seals (Ibn Arabi) appears to them, to judge among them and reveal to them the truth of the city...
