The January Revolution left behind a world that has become old in the consciousness of all contemporaries, referred to in the past or "the old days," even if the intended meaning is a single past decade. And despite being old, we have not yet discovered all its elements or structures to understand our contemporary moment, which is the product of its interactions. After January, Egyptians are described as a people without a catalog because they have become a people who exist from the beginning, moving visibly after expressing their existence. They are no longer images fabricated in directed drama; all old stereotypes have collapsed despite everyone. It has become necessary for everyone to make the effort to understand the material nature of the society they live in, and the essence of its conflicts and motives. It is no longer possible to shape Egypt as an imaginary world from simple elements; the country is in constant change, and sweeping away the dust and accumulation beneath the rugs of reality will not lead to a view of any flat horizon. Instead, it will make the journey slower and more anxious within more dangerous and conflict-ridden bends. Societies never dwell; they can lower their voices, but they will not stop whispering and talking. Meanwhile, new languages will form, evolve, differentiate, and with them the diverse worlds will become more isolated and scattered. Trivial stereotypical discourses cannot contain them, so everything proceeds in parallel until a moment when the parallels intersect, and worlds collide with each other. At that point, the sound of the explosion cannot be hidden.
