Product description
For every nation among nations, there are roots deeply embedded in its entity, which is called "heritage." It has been established throughout the history of all civilizations that heritage is one of the pillars upon which the foundation of the renaissance is built; therefore, every nation has cared about what it believes to be its founding reference. Nations are more defined by their past than by their present; from that past, they derive their existence, and by preserving it, they remain distinguished. Within its scope, they live strongly with their identity and components. The cultural heritage of any nation in the world is the foundation upon which it builds its status, defines its identity, and guides its path through its values. It also indicates its depth in history, the quality of contributions made by its people in its movement, and the extent of its influence and impact on it and vice versa. The book we present is the fruit of the activities of the session held by the center titled "Introduction to Arab Islamic Heritage," which can be viewed as an initial step toward acquiring those tools. It is a book aimed at the non-specialist intellectual who seeks to have a share of knowledge about his nation's heritage and a share of good understanding of how to deal with it. In other words: this book is a guiding manual that can be used as a starting point to establish a contemporary awareness of Arab Islamic heritage.
