Al-Harithi's narration in this book tells the story of three separate journeys he made to Nepal in 2005, 2011, and 2013. He was keen to stay in this Asian country for long periods to rid himself of the "superficiality of the hurried tourist's eye," as he said in one of his interviews, and to look into the depths of the country and the innermost parts of its people, so that he could distill his perspective and vision, which unfold to him through diligent observation. This was clearly evident in his immersion in the spirit of the Nepali place, its scents, customs, and traditions, which made his writing closer to that of a local rather than just a tourist or resident. In response to a question about what he strives to highlight in travel books, Al-Harithi says: "It depends on mood, stance, place, possibility, and the impossible opposite to create a dough of writing that ferments in my mind to appear in that form," and he adds: "It's enough to sit in a café with different segments and classes of the country's people, just as you should sit with tourists who, in their way, criticize or praise the behaviors of the citizens of that country. After that, the dish of the situation is cooked, which may be critical or praiseful of the traits of the inhabitants."
