After liberalism

I am not trying to paint here a very bleak picture, and I am not trying to make it rosy; however, I believe that the era of "after liberalism" is a major political struggle era; more important and more authentic than any other era we have gone through in the last five hundred years; because I see the powers that benefit from privileges fully aware that "everything must change; so that nothing changes," and they strive for that with all the skill and ingenuity they possess. And I see the forces of liberation gasping for breath, in the literal sense of the word, when they realized the historical futility of their political project, which they spent about one hundred and fifty years fighting for; I mean the project of social transformation through seizing state power; one state after another. It also does not seem confident in the existence of an alternative project. As for the failure of the aforementioned project, indeed the failure of the global left's strategy in general; it was because they were imbued with liberal ideology and dyed with its color, even in its most non-liberal "revolutionary" forms — they claimed — like Leninism. Until the truth of what happened between 1789 and 1989 becomes clear; there will be no liberation project that reason can accept in the twenty-first century.
