The description of the book "Things from Criticism and Translation" by (Abu Y Arab Al-Marzouqi). (Things from Criticism and Translation) is a book through which "Abu Y Arab Al-Marzouqi" investigates the intellectual projects in their reformist and foundational types, as a dominant phenomenon throughout the last half-century. The author says in the effectiveness of thought and thinkers: There is nothing to avoid in what is said; most words have become a source of disgust for me, words of the same kind as the intellectual project, the role of the intellectual, the responsibility of the thinker, the visions of the philosopher, the need for fatwas from religious scholars, along with the empty academic titles that accompany it. What the author wants to say is that the star of thought has no relation to thought and its theoretical concerns, and the media is not a measure (both ruler and opposition alike) because there are stars who have no relation to thought, and that the academic middle and research centers have no role in the cultural event except under the conditions of affiliation and dependence on the logic of the institutions of the political and cultural sultan, which tries to turn attention into ideology in service of the direct work that aims, first and foremost, to influence the masses. Accordingly, the core idea in Marzouqi's attempt, as he says, is twofold: First, describing the characteristics of thought in the last half-century of the renaissance and diagnosing it, perhaps helping to understand these characteristics which we derive from the current state of thought. Second, proposing a systematic treatment that defines the nature of influence that can be attributed to thought, with an explanation of its conditions and mechanisms as clearly as possible. The book also includes an understanding of the real obstacles in the act of translating Western thought among contemporary Arab writers, in addition to a summary of Jaber Asfour's article titled "The Style of Critical Linguistic and Logical Discourse" and "Conditions of Theoretical and Methodological Critical Discourse," with commentary and discussion. The book also touches on (Heidegger's interpretation of the meanings of some pillars of Islam), Heidegger's definition of philosophy, and other theoretical topics.
