Product description
The poet and novelist "Ibrahim Nasser Allah" published the novel "Balcony of Delirium," (which he inaugurated with his novel project: (Balconies) that includes several novels, each independent, alongside his major novel project "The Palestinian Tragedy"). In a special style, with subtle satire, and concise expressions of various images of life, with rare boldness to break the traditional modern novel form that has become established. With expressive images like flashes that come and then disappear, with unique rituals outside the norm, sharp and carefully shaped, "Ibrahim Nasser Allah" in this novel explores the bitter alienation that has occupied a vast space in the Arab soul since the First Gulf War, passing through the harsh shadows of what has become of the Palestinian situation, and reaching the post-September 11 era and the Iraq occupation. It is balconies through which our writer looks at the reality that the protagonist "Rashid Al-Nimr" and his family live. They are stations representing images of the life of the Arab person searching for his identity, his freedom, and his security, but he cannot find them. An era full of conflicts, wars, and poverty to the extent that he looks in the mirror and finds another image of himself. The protagonist says: "I want to contemplate myself in a mirror that does not reflect my image!! Isn't that difficult, and what is the difficulty in that? It means you will be where you were, without eyelids, with dreams that remind you of the day, and without a path, and above all, alone, with this blind mirror!!" His dead friend asked him: "And why do you keep me company?!" Because I cannot see myself in you! And why can't you see yourself in me?! Because you have no eyes! Do you understand my point, right?" "Balcony of Delirium" is a new form in modern literary fiction, through which "Ibrahim Nasser Allah" broke the concept of character building through non-character, and broke art with art so that there is space in this (epic absurdity) that we live in, through which it is possible to dialogue with a new reality that can no longer be addressed except by going to the extreme boundary area.
