Product description

The critical discussion of the global legal monetary system based on interest heavily relies on stating the numerous inherent flaws in this system, especially regarding stability and justice. While the "Gold Dinar" system represents a different model of the prevailing monetary system. The author in this study, published in its Arabic version by the Namaa Center, explores how developing countries specifically lose significantly in the interest-based monetary system. The author discusses the reasons for the convergence of globalization and financial liberation from colonialism, and the extent to which this is suitable for colonialism. The book also examines the reasons why Islamic banks cannot operate independently within the current monetary system without regard to interest rates or the forbidden usury. Although the book was published in 2004, four years before the economic crisis, it recognized part of the flaw in the global monetary system and warned of its negative effects, especially on emerging and Muslim countries and communities, which manifested in the bankruptcy of large countries, banks, and financial companies in 2008. The book presents an important discussion on the possibility of using the Gold Dinar to settle bilateral and multilateral trade balances, and it highlights several advantages of the Gold Dinar, including its superiority as a hedging tool for managing foreign exchange risks compared to other derivative instruments.
