The diaries of the spring bird part 3

A story that at first glance appears to be a detective story, or a novel about a torn marital relationship, or an excavation of hidden secrets from the depths of the Second World War. Taro Okada: a young Japanese man searching for his wife's lost cat. However, he quickly finds himself on a journey to find his wife herself in another hidden world. His search for the cat intersects with his search for the wife, as he encounters a strange group of friends and enemies, each with their own story: starting from the cheerful girl, the vengeful politician, and ending with a fighter whose life changed after what he saw during the Japanese campaign in Manchuria. An enchanting novel that blends humor with evil. A brilliant work comparable in its field to the masterpieces of Yukio Mishima. "It is impossible to stop reading it." DAILY TELEGRAPH "An astonishing literary piece... unlike anything else." NEW YORK OBSERVER
