The book "Juvenile Delinquency" offers a modern integrated perspective to understand the characteristics of juvenile delinquency, their custodial and rehabilitative needs. It is a perspective that presents a philosophy of care shifting from punishment and social stigma to rehabilitation, empowerment, restoring human dignity, reconciliation with oneself, family, and society, and acquiring social competence. This work consists of three interconnected sections. The first presents the categories of juvenile delinquency and the characteristics of each, along with their needs for rehabilitation and empowerment. The second section discusses the dimensions of the comprehensive assessment process of the juvenile's situation, problems, and potentials, leading to the formation of a file that forms the basis for the policy framework for their care. The third section covers care methods and programs that address issues and unleash developmental energies and social integration. It concludes with a summary that presents the components for professional work with juvenile delinquents, including scientific preparation and career path. Dr. Mustafa Hijazi, one of the prominent psychologists in the Arab world, dedicated a significant part of his study to the characteristics of the Arab person and society, with a theoretical and field approach, aiming to understand our Arab human being and develop and unleash his life energies, leading to the creation of roles and status. Juvenile delinquency is the subject of his doctoral thesis obtained from the University of Lyon in France, along with a therapeutic experience for juveniles spanning two decades in France, Lebanon, and the Gulf region.
