The youth in the time of COVID

This collective book comes at a time when the coronavirus virus is still rampant in the world, and in an atmosphere characterized by fear, doubt, and lack of certainty, which makes it difficult to grasp the true repercussions of this pandemic on the youth category. It is worth mentioning that the severity of these repercussions is not new, but results from vulnerabilities and structural fragilities in the models of dealing with youth issues in the fields of education, social protection, health, economic empowerment, and the formulation of legal and legislative frameworks supporting this social group. Therefore, the Scientific Committee of the Youth Capacity Building Unit at the International Institute for Arab Renewal has decided to turn the crisis resulting from the coronavirus pandemic into an opportunity for scientific research and serious rethinking to explore the various levels of impact of this virus on youth in the Arab region, and to identify the role that youth can play in confronting the crisis.
