Waiting for Godot

Laugh or smile, as if it is the laugh that reaches you with the abyss, with the eternal stillness that you imagine you move towards or it moves towards you and there is no salvation, even suicide is impossible, even leaving is impossible, even movement is impossible, even thinking (sometimes) is impossible, as long as we are unable to control the simplest matters, and the greatest ones. From these details and daily routines and appearances and clothes, and speech and dialogue and movements based on contradictions, Beckett establishes the laugh of nihilism, that which opens a gap to nothingness, and to emptiness, and to internal death.
