This study aims to attempt to clarify the confusion among some interested in the prophetic biography regarding the concept of each of the Prophet's houses and their chambers. Some of them think that the house is the chamber and the chamber is the house. In fact, the Noble Qur'an and the prophetic biography clearly distinguished between the two terms. The Qur'an referred to the house in several places, sometimes in the singular form and sometimes in the plural. As for the chamber, it was referred to once in the Qur'an, in the plural form, in His saying تعالى (Indeed, those who call you from behind the chambers are most of them lack understanding) [Al-Hujurat: 4]. Thus, if the intended meaning of the chambers was the houses, the address would have been: Indeed, those who call you from behind the houses. But this did not happen because the chambers, as it appears, are not the same as the houses, and the two terms cannot be confused. Not only that, but we find that the word "house" appears nineteen times in the Qur'an, and it appears in the plural form "houses" fourteen times. Perhaps what has been previously mentioned gives a strong impression that the house is something different in its meaning and importance from the chamber, which indicates its lesser significance. The entire book is a study of the houses of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his wives, and a description of his living conditions in them.
