Product description
Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Professor of Modern and Contemporary History and International Relations and American Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Department of History, Ain Shams University, participates with his new book "Secrets of Governance and Politics in Europe and the United States of America in the 19th and 20th Centuries" at the book fair scheduled to start in the coming days. The book covers different periods of European and American political history, united by a common link: shedding light on how crises and conflicts are managed, how political decision-making is made, and the conflict between government agencies within the same state, which takes two patterns: a covert pattern and a public one. This book presents four topics: first, it discusses the role of the British ambassador at the Ottoman court during the decline phase of the Ottoman Empire; second, it examines the situation of Jews in Germany during the Nazi rule, a significant issue that occupied global public opinion before and after World War II; third, it highlights the role of Congress and its handling of foreign aid directed to Europe; and fourth, it discusses the role of administrative institutions in shaping foreign policy.
