Between the two banks of this book, thirty stories from the extended Arab time, starting from the time of the knights, whose ambitions do not stop at their present, for they had with the coming of the message of Islam and martyrdom for its sake what they wanted of confrontation and victory over time itself, then moving to a time that began with a great fitna, dismissing bravery and embracing cunning, which is the time of kings. A time when the earth narrowed on those fighting for the throne despite the vast conquests and victories, so they had to get rid of each other even if they were bound by brotherhood of blood. These conflicts quickly led to the fall of the Umayyads and Abbasids, paving the way for the era of the Jilban, mercenary troops from the Turks, Mamluks, Seljuks, and others. Instead of a caliph, a thousand caliphs became, who neither owned nor ruled. After that, occupied states alternated from every direction until we reached a time truly filled with despair but not devoid of hope. It is a time of dreaming men, sacrificial uprisings, a longing for change, hidden revolutions beneath the soil, and others emerging into the light, and we are still waiting for a new Arab era, a new labor, and a new birth.
