The books in my life

The purpose of this book, which will consist of several parts over the next few years, is to tell my life story. It talks about books as a vital experience, not a critical study nor does it contain a program to educate oneself. There have been in the past and will always be truly revolutionary books — that is, inspired and inspiring. They are rare, of course, and the lucky ones are those who encounter a handful of them in their lives, and moreover, this kind of books does not invade the general public. It is the hidden stock that feeds the less talented men who know how to attract the common man. The vast literary production, in all fields, consists of worn-out ideas. The question — which unfortunately has not found an answer — is to what extent will it be an influential work to reduce the surplus stock of cheap feed. And today, one thing is certain — the illiterate are definitely not the least intelligent among us.
