Product description
The first element emphasized by the author in these passages is that politics is based on a fundamental reality, which is human diversity, considering that diversity is the law of the land or also that nothing that exists does not exist in the individual, as I explained in the first part of The Life of the Mind: Thinking. And therefore, living for the benefit of humans is to live among the soil and equals within the city-state, considering that deviation from the group and the public space is equivalent to isolation and death, and thus politics is pointless for managing public affairs. The world is only composed of humans and what humans produce from the earth and nature, and with a relationship between all these elements and the human group that is called upon to organize itself to avoid wars, violence, and perhaps annihilation sought by totalitarian regimes. Politics is the field in which people coexist, such as the public arena among the Greeks, the Senate among the Romans, or parliaments and various institutions arising from current democratic systems. According to Hannah Arendt, politics is based on freedom and equality, with the latter being closely linked to justice.
