Statistics

Statistics suffers from a regrettable fundamental misunderstanding that misleads people about its core nature. This misconception is that it requires extensive boring calculation skills, and as a result, it is a dry and dull field devoid of imagination, creativity, or excitement. However, this is a completely false image of the modern field of statistical science, as it is based on a perception dating back more than half a century. Specifically, this image completely ignores the fact that computers have changed the face of the field entirely, transforming it from a calculation-dependent field into a system based on using advanced software tools to analyze data in search of understanding and enlightenment. This is what modern statistical science revolves around: using tools to assist perception and provide both means of highlighting and understanding, monitoring and direction tools, and systems that aid in the decision-making process. All this and more represent aspects of the modern field of statistical science.
