Community and history by Mortada Motahari ... This book is a main focus in Motahari's fertile intellectual project, which was not destined to be completed as he hoped. Its importance is due to what its author derived from establishing an Islamic theory in the field of sociology and philosophy of history; in which he relies on the Quran, inspired by its central values and main principles, and at the same time surpasses what the West has reached in this field of ideas and theories, clarifying what they contain of disagreement with the Islamic approach, from his perspective. The book includes two sections: in the first section, the martyr studied society in terms of the authenticity of its existence and the laws and rules that govern its movement, while he devoted most of the second section to historical materialism as one of the most famous theories in the philosophy of history, stopping at it carefully, and thoroughly criticizing it and explaining what it contains of blatant opposition to Islam.
