The Saudi writer Abdullah bin Bakhit presents his readers with a new narrative that ignites their enthusiasm to shake hands with paper. The novel is titled "Al-Dahu," a title that may be unfamiliar to those who do not know old Riyadh, except that the writer mentioned in his interview with Al Arabiya.net that the title is strong in the memory of those who lived during that period, and strange to the new generation. He also pointed out that he had chosen many titles but found his new title the most suitable for his novel, noting that one of the reasons for the success of his novel "Al-Ataif Street" is the suggestion of the place. He continued that he benefited from friends’ advice, noting that the title does not necessarily reflect the nature of the novel, but is part of the cover, and the cover’s primary role is to promote the work. He also clarified that anyone who read the novel "The Name of the Rose" by Italian author Umberto Eco, published in the eighties, will not find a connection between the title and the novel, yet it became one of the classic novels read even now. He hopes that the reader will understand the concept of the novel, because it is not a historical record of the city where the events take place, but by its nature a work of pure fiction, relying on reality for camouflage. Whether people are real or imaginary in the novel, they need a land to move on, according to his expression.
