Product description
This introduction is one of the easiest and most accurate approaches — non-traditional — to understanding and studying political sciences; one of its goals is to convey to the reader the feeling that this book does not provide a completely traditional entry into the political sciences surrounding authority as more traditional approaches do; rather, the aim of this book is to present an easy intellectual container through which the reader can begin a more detailed study of political sciences and their various topics; it starts with a brief view of the development of political thought with a focus on the Western foundations of this thought, then presents a chapter on the state; then public authorities and political systems, passing through a chapter on political parties, media, and public opinion, before the book concludes with a chapter on foreign policy and international relations. Therefore, the author recommends reading this book before reading those traditional approaches, during them, and even after them; to maximize the benefit of combining the detail adopted by traditional approaches on one hand, with reflection, commentary, critique, biases, and sometimes a sarcastic tone that is not absent from the author's notes on the political phenomenon and its contradictions.
