Speaking by the blessing of Allah

This book discusses, by the blessing of Allah, "Imam Jalaal al-Din al-Suyuti" (849-911), and it is an interesting book. In it, the author aimed to translate himself, following the example of those before him among scholars. It appears from the details of the book that he did not intend only to translate himself, but also to demonstrate his scientific ability and his superiority over his opponents, and that he is worthy of ijtihad. This was a matter of debate and dispute between him and his opponents, who criticized his claim to reach the rank of ijtihad, and he responded to them that he had reached this level and hoped to be the renewer whom Allah sends at the beginning of every hundred years. This is indicated by the size that this issue took in this supposed autobiography of the author. Since this book is one of the important books, it was carefully prepared in this edition by a researcher. Upon reviewing the work of the researcher, we find that he first: prepared an introduction that includes a translation from the author al-Suyuti, containing a brief overview of the political, cultural, and scientific aspects of al-Suyuti's era, as well as his birth, studies, teachers, and scientific attainment. It also discusses his life stages, his dispute with opponents, the accusations made against him, especially his claim to reach the rank of ijtihad, and al-Suyuti’s and his supporters’ responses to these accusations. It covers the division among scholars regarding al-Suyuti, and finally, the date and place of his death. Second: the researcher paid attention to the referencing of the Quranic verses and the noble Hadiths.
