Product description

This book is about the relationship between the colonizer and the colonized, how revolutions are ignited, and how to preserve them from the manipulations of colonialism and the local elites subordinate to it. Although "Franz Fanon" wrote it for the revolutions of African and Asian liberation from old colonialism, the reality is that more than half a century after these revolutions, colonial conditions have not changed much. Instead of the military colonialism, which was costly in both material and human terms, it has been replaced by a local colonialism, less costly, and completely subordinate to the previous colonial powers, with cultural, political, and economic interests connected to them within a framework of narrow national and tribal chauvinist narratives—primarily created by the Orientalist knowledge apparatus. For all these reasons, it is important to make this text available for reading and interpretation once again in a historical context that may be more difficult and complex than the one in which it was written.
