This selected texts a very short journey in the soul of our Lord ignited with love. A journey in his poetic wandering between human hopes and dreams, and his struggles with his history and desires. A journey that does not do justice to him neither in quantity nor in quality. If his poetry, which exceeds one hundred thousand lines; is impossible to condense into a few dozen lines taken out of context; then any translation of his poetry likewise, no matter how skillful; will also carry a degree of betrayal of the original. Because it bears from the translator's soul as much as it bears from the poet's soul, the dervish. For the pleasure of poetry, its lively music, and its complete spiritual joy cannot be appreciated except in its original language, but we preferred not to let the language barrier prevent us from experiencing some of what Allah has bestowed upon this great heart; for what cannot be fully grasped should not be entirely left behind.
