The Diary of the Springbird Part 1-2

A story that at first glance seems to be a detective story, or a novel about a torn marital relationship, or an excavation of hidden secrets from the depths of the Second World War. Taro Okada: a young Japanese man searching for his wife's lost cat. However, he quickly finds himself on a journey of searching for his wife herself in another hidden world. His search for the cat intersects with his search for the wife, as he meets a strange group of friends and enemies, each bringing their own story: starting from the cheerful girl, the vindictive politician, and ending with a former fighter. - "A captivating novel where humor blends with evil. A genius work that rivals in its field the masterpieces of Yukio Mishima... impossible to stop reading." DAILY TELEGRAPH "An astonishing literary piece... unlike anything else." NEW YORK OBSERVER
