Pierre Anton realized that life has no meaning when he was in seventh grade at school, at that time he left the classroom to the nearest hill and stayed there. Neither a tree, nor entertainment, nor could his classmates even throw stones at him. And so they decided, to prove to Pierre Anton that life has a meaning, to pile in front of him the dearest things they possess: fishing lines, and a new pair of shoes, which were the first gifts. And as those things accumulated, the dangerous sacrifices to take the doubt out of the classmates' hearts about whether what they do to bring Anton down from the tree is worthwhile, and how they prove to him that life—really—has a meaning.
