Product description
The book of logic authored by John Dewey expresses the pragmatic viewpoint although its author, who is the Imam of pragmatism, deliberately avoided mentioning this word for fear of being misunderstood. And he proceeds to say in his introduction that his book is pragmatic from beginning to end if we look at pragmatism with a correct interpretation, meaning that results are used as necessary tests to indicate the truth of propositions, provided that these results are regarded as processes that can be carried out, and as means that lead to solving the specific problem that prompted those procedures. The book presents a perspective in logic that is compatible with contemporary science, expressing the views of pragmatists who are among the closest contemporary philosophical groups to the stream of science. The author of this book named his new logic "Research Theory" to oppose all other logical theories, both old and new.
