In this book, a defense of simple life, according to a confession that Nietzsche humbly reached for the wise when he said: "The simple way of life is a goal far away for me, and I will wait until more wise people than me find it for us." So what is the simple life? It is a life I live with as little as possible of illusions, a life in which I reconcile with my own destiny, and do not compare myself to any other person's destiny. A life in which I am as I am, not as others want me to be. A life in which I simplify my sovereignty over myself, so that my reactions and feelings are sincere in expressing the values I express and call for. A life in which I create pleasure with the least things, and invent happiness and joy in the simplest ways, where true joy is the feeling of growth and elevation. But returning to the simple life is the hardest journey after we lost the way to it in the midst of great illusions. Some may think that living a simple life is the easiest thing! This is not true. It requires giving up greed for acquiring unnecessary things for living. It requires noble values towards nature and humans, and towards the self. This book, before being directed to you, is directed to me, I wrote it for myself first. It is an attempt to clarify the role of philosophy in making life, so that it practices its most vital role: philosophy's role is not only to grant us the ability to understand texts, but fundamentally to enable us to understand life.
