Al-Shabika neighborhood

From the introduction of the book: The book (Harat Al Shibika) is in your hands, telling and narrating what was in this authentic neighborhood, truly speaking, it is one of the old and most famous neighborhoods of Mecca. It mentions its residents, streets, landmarks, borders, آثار (remains/ruins), shops, and trades that were practiced at that time, documenting all of this through photos, references, and interviews. Not only that, but the book also discusses the customs, traditions, and chants of that beloved neighborhood in the hearts of its former residents. How many longed for someone to compile all of this into a book to tell their children from the new generation stories, tales, and events that brought hearts together and united the ranks, as if they were one family in one neighborhood, which is (Harat Al Shibika), about its joys and sorrows, mentioning its honorable men. Every chapter and every picture tells another story about those beautiful meanings in the memory of lovers. A committee was formed from the residents of the neighborhood under the name of the Shibika Neighborhood Council to record this glorious history of this ancient neighborhood.
