Product description

Messages from the depths of the earth by Dostoevsky ... The novel "Notes from Underground" - Dostoevsky. And as you read this novel, you wonder, ask yourself what made you divide this human being, the cockroach, into the dark and foul interior, which is divided into two parts: underground, where the despicable protagonist talks about himself, and we get to know this character who dislikes everyone, perhaps even hates everyone, and whose mission is to spoil the peace of everyone around him. The second part: dedicated to the dewy snow: in it, this protagonist talks about some adventures he lived through and narrates the details of events that passed in his life. The novel clearly tends to express existential philosophy, and some consider it the first existential novel. The person, the human being with all his flaws, is the foundation and origin in the handling of the novel. And we almost feel while reading this novel that we are sitting behind the eyes of the protagonist, observing the events, but with an additional element: that which moves us in that place are the thoughts and perceptions of the protagonist about the surrounding characters, which he drew himself and perhaps are not accurate. The man is very pessimistic. The darkness and the thick fog present in the scenes reminded me of Kafka's frightening books, as if you are in a truly miserable, dark cellar, trying to finish quickly and get out of the book—not for the excitement it contains, because it is not that, but for the suffocation you feel from the writer's pessimism about this world before reading. Take a compass, and read about Dostoevsky's thinking before opening one of his books... and then read slowly. "I am a sick man... I am a wicked man... I am, rather, a repulsive man." Yes, Dostoevsky is a great writer and excels in delving into the depths of the human soul, with a tendency to highlight the negative and miserable aspects. But this novel is depressingly bleak, with few events, very long and repetitive inner monologues, even in beautiful relationships, neglecting the positive aspects and turning them into bad, filthy relationships with evil tendencies due to his excessive paranoia and exaggeration.
