The Silmarillion by J. R. R. Tolkien ... Tolkien is considered the father of modern fantasy, as the worlds of imagination changed after the publication of The Hobbit, then The Lord of the Rings trilogy to open the door to new worlds, acknowledged by the greats of this genre.
