Wife of another man and wife under the bed - Dostoevsky

Dostoevsky is considered one of the greatest novelists, as his works are characterized by storytelling ability that captivates the reader and by their strong expression of the inner self of the human psyche. He expressed this in the titles of his novels that describe humans in various situations and behaviors: The Gambler - The Adolescent - Mistreated and Humiliated - Crime and Punishment - The Idiot... In this novel, Dostoevsky presents a description of the gambler's self and feelings, and his frantic impulsiveness that makes him unable to leave the game unless the game ends or he loses every penny in his pocket. Dostoevsky does not portray the gambler as a condemned character, but rather depicts him with a kind of fascination, or a kind of magic, or unconscious impulsiveness, or defiance of circumstances. Dostoevsky, as usual in his novels, portrays the depths of his characters' inner worlds, so that Alexei Ivanovich, who loves the harsh, rebellious, and strange Paulina, submits to her and her whims, and says: that in humiliation and fall there is great pleasure.
