Instructions for starting the engine Warnings and precautions! • Ensure that the vehicles are completely separated and not connected at all with both electrical systems turned off. • Protect your eyes and face from the batteries at all times using safety equipment (gloves and safety glasses). • Make sure the ventilation covers are tight and flat. • Be careful to avoid moving the fan blades. How to connect? • Connect the clamps in the order shown in the diagram and as illustrated above (1, 2, 3, and 4). • Connect the positive cable (+) to the positive terminal (+) of the weak battery. • Connect the other end of the positive cable to the positive terminal of the booster battery. • Connect the second negative cable (-) to the other negative terminal (-) of the booster battery. • Make the final connection to the stopped car's engine block (not the negative terminal on the weak battery due to the risk of igniting hydrogen gas emitted from the battery). • Stand behind the vehicle, start the car, then later remove the cables in reverse order by disconnecting the engine block connection first (4, 3, 2, and 1) as shown above.
