Italian Honey Fig. About the Italian Honey Fig tree. Pale yellowish skin slightly very bitter compared to light amber sweet flesh. The fruit is fresh and wonderful, but it also dries beautifully. "Closed eye" when it ripens; helps resist splitting. It needs minimal pruning, and grows well in containers. Latarola honey, or Italian Honey Fig.
