Simplified Interpretation Published by King Fahd Complex Size: 20*14 cm Summary: An expanded and revised edition There was a pressing need in this era to produce a concise interpretation that considers the principles and sources of tafsir based on the methodology of the righteous predecessors, to ensure its clarity and reassurance for the hearts, and to build trust. The interpretation is presented in simple, easy words, clarifying the meanings of the Quran, its objectives, and revealing the connotations of words and structures that are often overlooked by the general public. A select group of renowned scholars in tafsir, known for their knowledge and competence, were chosen to prepare the first edition, following important guidelines: First: Interpreting the verses according to the creed of the righteous predecessors. Second: Presenting authentic tafsir from the narrations over other sources. Third: Limiting narration to the correct or most likely sayings. Fourth: Highlighting the Quranic guidance and the objectives of Sharia through tafsir. Fifth: Using concise and easy language, explaining the meanings of unfamiliar words during tafsir. Sixth: The interpreter should ensure the meaning is equivalent to the verse and avoid adding extra interpretations from other verses unless necessary. Seventh: Presenting the meaning of the verse directly, without unnecessary narration, unless essential. Eighth: The tafsir should follow the narration of Hafs from Asim. Ninth: Avoid mentioning different readings, grammatical issues, morphology, syntax, or rhetoric. Tenth: Tackle each verse separately; sometimes, the meanings of two or more verses may be combined if their meanings are connected. The words of the Quran are not repeated unless necessary. The verse number is mentioned at the beginning of each tafsir. Eleventh: The tafsir should be within the scope of the margin of the Madinah Mushaf. Twelfth: The interpreter should consider that this tafsir will be translated into different languages and avoid mentioning terms that are difficult to translate.
