Emil, a young man who turned 26, was diagnosed with early Alzheimer's disease. Doctors estimated that his memory would not last more than two years, so Emil decided to embark on one last journey, fleeing from the hospital, out of compassion for his family and friends. He posted an ad searching for a companion to share this final trip. To his surprise, he received a response from a girl named Joan, whose only belongings were a backpack and a large black hat, with no explanation for her presence.
