Twelve women

Many people see women as a complex mystery that is difficult to understand, and some writers have tried to infiltrate her mysterious world, attempting to uncover her secrets, as did the great writer Yusuf Al-Sibai in this short story collection. Al-Sibai presents twelve models of women who undergo experiences that reveal their inner selves, reflecting on the motives of his heroines and explaining their psychological struggles with precision; he talks about the jealous woman, the lost, the loser, the widowed... and others. Nevertheless, Al-Sibai admits that he is unable to fully understand women, and he finds himself stumbling and trembling in front of a glance or a gentle touch, facing the mystery with writing and continuing to try.
